What you’ll be doing as the Specification Technologist:
- Own and deliver retailer specifications to tight critical paths, translating recipes, raw materials and packaging data into fully compliant customer formats.
- Be the guardian of Codes of Practice, flagging and resolving any risks around allergens, legality, nutrition or labelling before they reach the customer.
- Partner with NPD and Process teams to create robust Specifications and QAS that support flawless launches and technical sign-off.
- Manage and maintain live specification control systems, gold standard specs and retailer portals.
- Interpret nutritional and ingredient data, running calculations to ensure claims, tolerances and criteria are always met.
- Approve artwork and pack copy, protecting brand integrity and legal compliance across all retail and B2B products.
- Support customer and BRC audits, providing confident, data-driven responses to technical queries.
- Act as a technical interface between suppliers, customers and internal teams, keeping information accurate, aligned and audit-ready at all times.
What you’ll need as the Specification Technologist:
- Experience with specifications at any level, specifically within food manufacturing.
- Experience writing or being involved with specifications with retailers.
- Own transport.
- Full UK working rights - no sponsorship or visas available.
