Are you a Design Engineer from a structural or mechanical engineering background, looking to take the next step in your career with a company that will actively support your Chartership and professional development? This is a varied position within a highly skilled team, where you will work on a range of large scale projects, playing a key role in both the design and delivery stages.
The business is well established within their sector and works on projects across the construction and heavy engineering industries. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to bring in an additional Design Engineer to strengthen the team.
In this role you will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from initial design through to completion. This will include the design of structural components and engineered systems, alongside supporting project delivery and working closely with other departments.
There is a clear progression route available, with the opportunity to move into a senior or principal level position as you develop within the company.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on structural or mechanical design projects, with knowledge of steel structures or heavy engineering environments. An understanding of FEA or similar analysis methods would be beneficial. Chartership is supported but not essential.
The Role:
- Design of large steel structures/components used within the construction industry (using AutoCAD)
- Finite element analysis and calculations
- Monday to Friday, 7:45am-4:15pm, office-based role (may have occasional international site visits)
