This is a critical role ensuring hygiene, safety, and compliance in a manufacturing environment. Working Hours
- Monday to Friday both shifts
- Morning Shift: 06:00 β 14:00
- Afternoon Shift: 14:00 β 22:00
Hourly Rate: Β£12.21
Overtime Rate: Β£18.32 (applies after 37.5 hours per week)
Role Overview
As a Production Cleaner, you will play a key role in ensuring that all areas of the production facility are cleaned and maintained to the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for maintaining a hygienic environment across the site, including production lines, shop floor, behind pallets, staff changing areas, and other operational zones.
Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise all areas of the production floor, including machinery surfaces, floors, and equipment, following strict cleaning protocols

Carry out deep cleaning in hard-to-reach areas, such as behind pallets and under machinery, ensuring full compliance with hygiene standards

Maintain changing rooms, staff toilets, and communal areas in a clean and presentable condition at all times

Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment, adhering to COSHH and Health & Safety regulations

Accurately complete cleaning schedules, checklists, and documentation for audit purposes

Work closely with the hygiene and quality teams to ensure all standards are met, especially in preparation for BRC audits and customer inspections

Dispose of waste and used materials appropriately, in line with site procedures

Report any hazards, damages, or hygiene concerns to supervisors immediately
-
Wear the correct PPE at all times and follow site rules for hygiene, food safety, and conduct
Candidate Requirements

High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Reliable, punctual, and able to work under minimal supervision

Willingness to follow clear instructions and established processes

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Previous experience in cleaning within a food production or industrial environment is desirable but not essential β full training will be provided

All personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided, including:
