Tradewind Recruitment are currently supporting a specialist education setting in Northampton in recruiting a part‑time Caretaker to join their site team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a school setting that supports children and young people with additional needs, helping to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for staff and students.

Role Details

  • Part‑time position – 20 hours per week
  • 52 weeks per year
  • Flexible working hours available
  • Ideal working pattern: 7:30 am–9:00 am and 3:30 pm–5:00 pm during term time, plus an additional 5 hours across the week
  • More flexibility available during school holidays
  • Based primarily in Northampton, with occasional travel to other local education sites as required

Responsibilities

  • Opening and securing the premises daily
  • General site maintenance and repairs
  • Health and safety checks across the school site
  • Ensuring the grounds and facilities are well maintained
  • Liaising with contractors where necessary
  • Supporting with any day‑to‑day premises needs

Ideal Candidate

  • Have previous caretaker/site management or facilities experience
  • Be reliable, proactive and able to work independently
