We're recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with both electrical and mechanical qualifications to maintain and improve plant reliability. You'll deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding on plant and process machinery (motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and associated production equipment)
- PPM and reactive maintenance to maximise uptime and minimise production impact
- Electrical work including safe isolation/LOTO, testing, component replacement and return-to-service
- Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, shafts, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Support compliance activities, inspections, documentation and safe systems of work (RAMS)
- Identify recurring faults and implement reliability/root-cause improvements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 / apprenticeship or equivalent)
- Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience within industrial / manufacturing / recycling environments
- Strong health & safety focus and structured problem-solving approach
