An opportunity for a forward-thinking Maintenance / Engineering Manager with recent food manufacturing experience to lead a high-performing site engineering function. You’ll own site maintenance strategy, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations, while driving strong PPM, asset performance, and team capability. This is a visible leadership role, working closely with Operations, Projects, and central engineering teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and develop the site maintenance team, embedding a strong safety and food-safe culture
  • Deliver reliable plant performance through effective PPM/CBM, spares strategy, and planning
  • Own maintenance budgets, CapEx planning, and cost-reduction initiatives (energy & sustainability)
  • Manage contractors, site projects, and OEM relationships
  • Track and improve performance using KPIs, CMMS, asset data, and RCA
  • Drive standardisation, best practice, and continuous improvement across the site
  • Stay current with statutory compliance, technical developments, and industry standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven Maintenance / Engineering Manager experience in food, FMCG, or pharma
  • Strong people leadership – able to coach, mentor, and develop future leaders
  • Solid understanding of H&S, food safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Confident managing budgets, reporting, and performance data
  • Comfortable using and interpreting CMMS and asset management systems
  • Apprentice trained with HNC/HND in Engineering (desirable)
