EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CAD CAM Programmer to join a precision engineering company located in Northampton, working on a 6 month FTC. Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Key Benefits on offer

  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Opportunity to work with state-of-the-art CNC Milling / Turning and Mill-Turn machinery

Your responsibilities include

  • Programming multi-axis CNC Milling / Mill-Turn machines using offline controls
  • Strong knowledge of Hypermill is a MUST for this role
  • Catia V5 is desirable
  • Proving out programs using Vericut is a MUST
  • Working from Engineering drawings / 3D models
  • Reverse engineering and continuous improvement activities
  • Understanding of Fanuc CNC controls
  • Worked with multi-pallet, multi-axis machines
  • Knowledge of implementing tool offset management
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Previous experience in producing programs for complex components, ideally within aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, oil & gas or medical sectors

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate

  • Minimum of 3 years programming CNC Milling / Turning / Mill-Turn / Turn-Mill machines using offline controls
  • Hypermill would be desirable; however other packages may be considered
  • Understanding of Siemens CNC controls
  • Worked with multi-pallet, multi-axis machines
  • Knowledge of implementing tool offset management
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Previous experience in producing programs for complex components, ideally within aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, oil & gas or medical sectors
