About the Role

Rock Recruitment is seeking experienced and motivated Service & Repair Engineers to join a national team delivering essential domestic heating and property services across the UK.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Gas Engineer who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working within a professional, supportive environment. You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance, installations, and repairs on domestic gas systems and appliances, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

As part of a nationwide “hit squad”, you’ll travel to different regions to support urgent or high-priority projects, sometimes for several weeks at a time. Travel is managed on a rota system, maintaining a healthy balance between time away and time at home. The competitive salary reflects the flexibility and commitment this role demands.

Working Pattern

• Summer (April–September): 4-day working week
• Winter (October–March): 5-day working week

This schedule provides a strong work-life balance while meeting project needs throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair domestic gas systems and appliances (boilers, cookers, heaters, etc.)
• Carry out safety checks and ensure full regulatory compliance
• Expertise in diagnosis of faults and completion of accurate reports and documentation
• Provide professional advice on safe use and maintenance
• Follow all company and health & safety procedures

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar gas engineering role.
• Sound knowledge of domestic gas systems and appliances (boilers, heaters, cookers).
• Valid qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (additional qualifications an advantage).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Clean DBS check required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
