Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste company to recruit an EC&I Technician for its site in Milton Keynes. The EC&I Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £48,000 to £54,000 + benefits package. Responsibilities and duties

  • Fault finding, installing and maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
  • Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.
  • Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS).
  • Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS.
  • Supervising and directing on site contractors when required.
  • Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.

Professional qualifications

  • Certificate in Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Recognised EC&I Apprenticeship Scheme.
  • ONC/HNC in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Personal skills

  • Ability to work well alone or in a team.
  • Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
