Set in the beautiful rural Northamptonshire countryside, our client has a state of the art fine dining restaurant. Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking ambitious staff to work in the kitchen within a key role of Kitchen Porter. Must have your own transport.
Key Responsibilities
- To undertake general kitchen duties as and when required, for example, dish washing.
- Ensure all customers receive clean tableware.
- To adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- To ensure all kitchen areas are clear of debris and conform to Health and Safety regulations.
- Clean food preparation areas, equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
- Unload deliveries.
- Keep storeroom organised and tidy.
- Keep all surfaces, walls and floors sanitise.
About you:
- Experience is not essential as full training will be given but you must have the desire to offer the highest standards in customer service.
- Basic food preparation skills desirable.
- Understanding of Health and Safety in kitchens, how to avoid cross contamination and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
- Understanding of the importance of the Kitchen Porter’s role and an urgency to complete tasks on time.
- This role can be physically demanding and may involve long hours.
- Must have or be willing to complete within the first 6 months, a basic hygiene certificate.
