The Role
Kitchen Fitter FTC!
Due to continued successful growth here at Fortem, we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitter to join our new Planned works team at Amplius Housing in Rushden, Northamptonshire
This is to rip out and re install brand new kitchens for Amplius social housing properties. You will be working directly for Fortem on a fixed term contract basis until 31st March 2026.
* There is a possibility this may become a permanent opportunity, but we cannot guarantee.
Core Hours are Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm
Company Van, Fuel card, Power Tools, uniform and PPE all provided!
As an experienced Kitchen Fitter you will be able to work at pace to fully re install planned kitchens plans, deadline and budget. Ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. You take ownership of work, aiming for successful turnarounds times, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, whilst being courteous and professional on site.
The Customer
Fortem\βs successful contract with Amplius supports approx 8,000 houses, Our contract includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Complex Works and FRA workstreams with Planned Works and Preventative Maintenance as well.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Completing Full Kitchen refit/ installations for planned works team to deadline and budget.
* Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required
* Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
* Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices
* Affording excellent customer service to client representatives
* Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner
* Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times
* Operating within the company\βs occupational road risk policies and procedures
* Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work
What you will need
Essential:
* NVQ/qualifications in relation to relevant trade (Carpentry or Plumbing) or equivalent, however anyone qualified by Kitchen Fitting experience will also be considered
* Full, driving licence (max 5 points) Desirable but not essential:
* Social housing experience
