Locations: Northamptonshire, Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Thrapston, Northampton, Rutland, Lincs, Leics and surrounding areas.

As a Supply Teacher your role may include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Live the duties of a Teacher as set out in the School Teachers Pay and Conditions of Employment, including planning, preparing, delivering lessons, marking, and assessing pupil attainment.
  • Establish a purposeful learning environment.
  • Teach structured lessons and sequences that interest and motivate children.
  • Communicate learning objectives to pupils and set challenging, appropriate objectives for whole class, groups, or individuals.
  • Implement a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing of children in line with school policy on behaviour management, safeguarding, and health and safety.
  • Mark and assess pupils’ work according to school monitoring and assessment policies.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that ensures smooth classroom running.
  • Manage pupil engagement with minimal disruption.

Requirements:

  • Ideally own transport to reach a variety of schools.
  • QTS, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or relevant experience within a school.
  • Effective classroom control and behaviour management techniques.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to teaching.
  • IT literate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Two professional references.
