What You'll Do:
- Ensure all duties are done in a timely manner.
- Carry out PPM's such as Low-Level Outlet flushing, fire alarm test, emergency lighting etc.
- Contractor monitoring, issuing permits to work and ensuring contractors are working to correct procedures.
- Carry out remedial works from the back of PPM's if needed.
- Carry out reactive tasks as and when necessary, from client requests.
- Minor installation works.
- Be able to build a good customer relationship.
- Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
Skills and Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Mechanical/Electrical discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent apprenticeship.
- City & Guilds Level 2 Award in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category 1 or equivalent.
- Electrical knowledge and experience would be desirable.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 20 kg or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Experience in working with a CAFAM system. Examples include Maximo.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Additional Information:
- The property is a private dwelling located outside of Oakham; therefore, access to reliable transportation is essential.
- Seasonal overtime opportunities may be available in addition to standard weekly hours.
