RM Recruit are supporting a Northamptonshire based Multi Academy Trust in the recruitment of an Interim Chief Finance Officer for their team. The Chief Finance Officer will have strategic responsibility for all aspects of Trust finance, asset management, contract management and procurement. During a period of transition, this Trust is seeking a c9 β 12 month interim hire to manage change, provide strategic leadership to Heads/Principals and ensure all statutory obligations are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic financial leadership
- Financial management and control
- Preparing and monitoring budgets and delivering annual accounts
- Participation in relevant Executive Team, Trust Board and Local Governing Body meetings, ensuring that the CEO, Executive Team, Trustees, Principals and Governors are fully informed, as required
The Trust is seeking an experienced Finance Director/CFO who can demonstrate proven leadership skills in MAT or Education settings. They require a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CIPFA) who can work onsite 2 days per week (occasionally more when needed) and who can commence by late August 2025. We can accommodate open discussion on salary/day rate expectations and also part time working arrangements.
