Our client are a company who specialise in manufacturing bespoke furniture, recognised for delivering high-quality products including one off pieces. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Maker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, with varied and interesting work across a range of projects.
As a Furniture Maker you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of high-quality products. The role requires someone with a keen eye for detail who can advise on designs and manufacturing processes.
Location: Northampton
Salary: Up to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 7:30am - 5pm (Mon - Thu) 7:30am - 12:30pm (Fri)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke furniture items from technical drawings
- Work with various materials including wood, fabrics, and leather
- Undertake additional joinery work as required
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Ensure all work is completed to company and client specifications, with a focus on quality
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the workshop and other departments
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Experience as a Furniture Maker in a workshop environment
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery and a variety of hand tools
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of workmanship
- Flexible and adaptable to work on various types of joinery items
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks
