We are seeking an experience Facilities Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis.
40 hours per week (7am-4pm Monday to Friday)
Essential:
- Capable of basic maintenance/DIY tasks
- Physically able to carry out manual handling duties.
- Must have good knowledge of H&S
- Pro-active nature & self-motivated
- Be an effective team member with a flexible approach.
- Multi-tasker & able to work under pressure and adapt to ever changing priorities.
Job Duties (Not an exhaustive list):
- Collection of recycling waste from all areas on the shop floor
- Assist with the preparation of meeting rooms and equipment.
- General duties including topping up of office photocopiers.
- Provide refreshments to meeting rooms for external meetings.
- Post sorting and distribution.
- Carry out daily housekeeping checks.
- Ensure the building is clean and tidy and generally well maintained such as reporting broken light bulbs, removing empty cardboard boxes, cleaning spillages.
- Maintaining the kitchens and break areas, regularly restocking the coffee, tea and sugar along with keeping them clean and dishwasher emptied regularly.
- Desk moves and porter duties.
- Looking after office stationery – checking stocks and ordering as necessary
- Maintaining outside areas – litter picking, leaf sweeping
- Clear pathways and entrances- leaves, snow, ice
- All aspects of general maintenance (where qualified and risk assessed) including (but not limited to): – routine repairs, replacement lamps, minor drain blockages, hanging notice boards and pictures, litter picking, snow clearance, gritting etc.
