We are currently recruiting for an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Specialist to join one of our clients based in Milton Keynes.
This is a key position within the organisation, responsible for driving environmental compliance and advancing sustainable development initiatives across the business.
The successful candidate will play a central role in auditing, data analysis, and ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 certification, while also leading the development and implementation of sustainability standards aligned with the company\’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site audits and environmental assessments
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 14001 and related standards
- Developing and implementing sustainability policies and frameworks
- Delivering internal training and awareness programmes
- Producing reports
- Monitoring and advising on UK environmental legislation
- Leading or supporting environmental projects
- Reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and documentation
- Maintaining environmental management systems and tracking performance across key suppliers
- Driving continuous improvement across environmental and sustainability functions
Skills and Experience Required:
- Ideally of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards
- IEMA membership (Affiliate or Practitioner level)
- NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
- Relevant environmental qualification
- Full, clean UK driving licence
