Manufacturer Northamptonshire
One of Northamptonshire's most established manufacturing businesses is looking for someone who can genuinely run the show when it comes to Planning, Shipping, Purchasing and general Ops support. Not a clipboard manager. Not someone who "updates spreadsheets" for a living. They want someone who can lead a busy team, keep customers happy, and make sure the whole operation flows without drama.
What the role actually involves:
- Guiding the team so orders are processed properly, on time, and without chasing
- Keeping the communication flowing between Sales, the factory and customers
- Making sure shipments go where they should, with the right documents
- Keeping an eye on credit balances and payments during deliveries
- Handling purchasing procedures and supporting the buying of goods/services
- Jumping in on ad-hoc admin, logistics and customer service tasks when needed
- Basically… making sure internal demand is managed, expectations are realistic, and nothing falls through the cracks
What they need from you:
- At least 5 years’ experience across Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service and Admin
- Someone who's comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and ideally Dynamics AX/D365/CRM
- Proper attention to detail, sensible time management, and the ability to handle pressure without falling apart
- Strong communication, strong organisation, and the right attitude - positive, proactive and a team player
