Job Description
We are currently seeking a Drivers Mate with a valid FLT License to join our client’s busy logistics operation in Kettering. This role involves assisting delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customer sites, as well as operating a forklift truck within the warehouse or yard when required.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to secure long-term work within a well-established logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting drivers with multi-drop deliveries to customer sites
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Operating a forklift truck (Counterbalance or Reach) as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Supporting warehouse operations when not out on deliveries
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
Requirements
- Valid FLT Counterbalance or Reach License (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited)
- Previous experience as a Drivers Mate or within a warehouse/distribution environment
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Good communication skills
