We’re looking for a Private Client Solicitor. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to take ownership of a growing caseload and help develop a new Private Client presence at the firm’s Corby office. This is a newly created position for a technically strong and commercially minded solicitor who thrives on autonomy and enjoys business development.

You’ll manage your own caseload from the outset, with the opportunity to build a team and establish a solid client base in the area. You’ll work closely with the firm’s well‑established Commercial and Property teams, building internal and external relationships to develop new business and strengthen cross‑departmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of Private Client matters including: Wills, LPAs, and estate planning; Probate, trusts, and estate administration; Inheritance tax and succession planning.
  • Deliver high‑quality legal advice to individuals, families, and business clients.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.
  • Actively develop new business opportunities and raise the department’s profile in Corby.
  • Provide excellent client care with professionalism and empathy.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE in Private Client law.
  • Confident managing your own caseload independently.
  • Strong technical knowledge across Wills, LPAs, Trusts, and Probate.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for client service.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for business development and team growth.

Desirable

  • Experience in developing a local client base or opening a new office function.
  • STEP qualification (or working towards it).
  • Established links within the Northamptonshire area.
