Are you an experienced Bench Joiner looking to showcase your craftsmanship on bespoke, high-quality projects?

Impact Recruitment is proud to be working with one of the UK\’s leading exhibition contractors. They design and manufacture custom exhibition stands, retail displays, and showrooms for clients across industries such as retail, automotive, technology, and healthcare.

They are now seeking skilled Bench Joiners to join their workshop team in Northampton. This role is perfect for someone with a background in joinery, shopfitting, or exhibition stand building who enjoys producing bespoke, high-quality work to tight deadlines.

Salary: £14.00 – £19.00 per hour (DOE) + Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (Full-time, Permanent)

Location: Northampton

Responsibilities

  • Producing bespoke joinery items including exhibition stands, display units, and furniture.
  • Reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings with confidence.
  • Carrying out cutting, assembling, laminating, and finishing tasks to a high standard.
  • Operating woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely.
  • Ensuring all work meets specifications and deadlines.
  • Preparing items for transport and installation.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.

What We\’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner, Carpenter, or in a similar woodworking role.
  • Skilled with woodworking machinery, hand tools, and technical drawings.
  • A strong eye for detail and pride in delivering defect-free finishes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach.
  • Previous experience in exhibitions, shopfitting, or bespoke joinery is highly desirable.
  • CSCS card, forklift licence, or IPAF certification would be an advantage (not essential).
