The Warehouse Administrator is an important role within the busy Warehouse and Logistics site of a Distributor and is responsible for the smooth running of the Administration function of the Department.

  • Respond to enquiries from Sales Department on delivery cost and courier requests.
  • Work closely with the warehouse manager and stock controller regarding workload and priorities, stock enquiries and all system-based queries.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
  • Check, and allocate all dispatch orders to pickers.
  • Maintain courier delivery cost log sheet.
  • Obtain quotations from dedicated couriers and obtain Proof of Deliveries for all deliveries planned.
  • Customer service management. Liaise with internal and external customers to deliver highest levels of customer service on an ongoing basis.
  • Liaise with, and assist, sales and customer services on dispatch/courier problems.
  • Liaise with Sales, Credit, Sales Administration, Purchasing and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely release of orders to meet the Company’s Courier dispatch time requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Filing of Goods in and Dispatch paperwork.
  • Main point of contact for incoming phone calls.
  • Managing the consumable and packaging ordering via Purchasing, maintaining a log of costs.
