Picture this... You start work every morning smiling and excited for what’s ahead. You choose what time you start and what you’ll work on. You go home (or move into the next room at home) feeling fulfilled and like you’re making a difference as part of a team that truly values your input. That’s what we aim for every day at north9.
You’ll be charged with liaising with clients, leading on Google Ads strategy and running PPC campaigns to consistently drive progress forward and deliver exceptional results. It means daily monitoring budgets and optimising bidding, conducting keyword and market research, crafting ad copy, communicating with clients about new opportunities, diving into data for strategic moves and collaborating with the SEO team.
If you’ve got additional skills like web development, AI automation or data wizardry then we’ll certainly be able to make use of that and build it into your role so it fits you like a glove. We’re more than a marketing agency. We’re a group of highly skilled people looking to maximise those skills and help everyone in the team grow and develop. We spend a lot of our time helping clients get more visible and make more sales, but we also work on our own internal projects to stretch our creative muscles and create alternative revenue streams.
You’ll be trusted with freedom and given the responsibility to perform to the best of your ability. But you’ll also be given support whenever needed to help guide you on the path you want to go down and keep developing your craft. We give all the profit we make to educational charities, so the work you do makes a real difference. The better the work we do together, the more impact we can make for people who really need that support.
We’re entering an exciting period of growth where we want to invest in the team and the business, and we can’t wait to get like-minded people on board to drive that journey forward. If that’s the kind of environment that floats your boat then read on…
What We’re Looking For
You know a bit about us – here’s what we’d be looking for from you. Don’t take this as a box-ticking exercise where you need to fit everything, but rather a guide on the things we’d love to have, which we can use as a foundation to build on together.
- PPC knowledge and 2-3 years of experience (beyond just letting PMax take the reins).
- Understanding how to work equally on small and big accounts to bring best results.
- High-level analytical skills (and competency on GA4/Search Console/GTM) with the ability to draw conclusions and implement actions proactively.
- Understanding of the Travel and Luxury markets is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with clients and internally.
- A strategic thinker.
- A team player who is prepared to dig in and do the difficult things well.
- A passion for marketing.
- Project management and planning skills that ensure things happen when and where needed, with the ability to prioritise appropriately.
- The drive to achieve results beyond the ordinary.
- A problem-solver who can think outside the box.
- Good time management and the ability to communicate clearly.
- A self-starter who can get things done in a small team.
- We really value side projects – if you have any examples of these, share them in your application.
- A desire to learn. This is non-negotiable for us. Every member of the team is always pushing to improve us as a whole and on an individual basis.
- SEO knowledge, experience and/or a desire to expand into this channel is advantageous.
What’s it like working here?
In the same way that we value long relationships with clients, we also want our team to love being a part of what we’re doing and be in it for the long haul. Here are some reasons we believe we’re a great place to work and you’ll want to do just that:
- Flexible working. You decide your hours and we have a combination of working from home and in the office, which the team works out together.
- Autonomy. You’re in charge of what you do and when you do it (within the business needs of course!).
- Input in all company decisions. We’re not a top-down organisation, everyone (who wants to) gets involved when we’re discussing big company stuff.
- Everything you need to work safely at home. Mac, budget for a comfortable home working environment etc.
- 25 days holiday + your birthday off.
- Wonderful Wednesdays – one Wednesday/month off to explore a new skill or hobby.
- The opportunity to work one month abroad each year.
- Company health (medical, dental) insurance plans after 3 months of full-time employment.
- Annual bonus based on company profit.
- 30-40k salary depending on skills and experience.
We assess people on their skills and fit for the team, not just CV and experience, so we’d love to get applications from anyone who believes they fit the bill from the details above. You might be a superstar fresh from your first digital role, working in-house, or have experience at agencies. Either of those people could be right for this role if they’re the best fit for the team and can show they do great work.
You will be expected to:
- Hit the ground running.
- Dive into client work immediately.
- Manage clients and provide insight into how they can improve.
- Experiment with rapidly changing technology like AI.
- Help the team develop and improve.
- Regularly report on successes and challenges and adapt accordingly.
- Work independently and stick to deadlines.
- Demonstrate a desire to learn continuously.
