Senior Youth Worker – Kirkbymoorside Youth Club
Hours: 4 hours per session per week during school term time, Thursdays 6.30 - 8.30 pm
We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Youth Worker to lead our Kirkbymoorside Youth Club.
As Senior Youth Worker, you will take the lead in planning and delivering engaging youth work sessions, ensuring activities are fun, meaningful, and responsive to the needs and interests of the young people who attend. You will support and coordinate volunteers, oversee safeguarding and health and safety, manage risk assessments, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the club.
You will build positive relationships with young people, helping them develop social, emotional, and life skills while creating an environment where they feel valued, respected, and able to thrive.
About the club
Kirkbymoorside currently runs weekly on Thursday evenings.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young people, particularly those with additional needs
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Can confidently lead youth work sessions and support a team of volunteers
- Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently
- Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 2 Youth Work qualification
