Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 8:30am - 4.30pm (Please note the post involves some work outside of normal hours, including weekends)
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Trainer to join our Learning & Development Team. As a Trainer, you will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering complex and extensive training programs to agreed Force and National specifications. This will enable all levels of staff, officers and volunteers to develop the correct skills for their roles, in order to meet organisational needs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and deploying training, including reviewing different ways of delivering a session.
- Identifying the types of activities to use in a session, deciding on the appropriate use of individual and group activities.
- Reviewing the potential for using technology-based learning, and e-learning methods, as part of the session.
- Preparing material and equipment for different types of sessions and evaluating how effective the session is against learning objectives.
Along with having excellent interpersonal skills, to be successful in this role you will also have:

You will possess a Level 4 training qualification e.g. Education & Training award, or be willing to work towards and achieve within six months of appointment.
