Opportunity

We’re looking for a curious, proactive and technically minded individual to join us as a Digital Evidence & Systems Support Officer (known internally as a Digital Evidence Systems Administrator). This is a hands‑on, varied role where you’ll be working with digital systems that support frontline policing. You’ll play a key part in ensuring digital evidence is managed accurately and that systems run smoothly day‑to‑day. No two days are the same – alongside structured daily tasks, much of your work will involve responding to new queries, resolving issues, and supporting colleagues and members of the public with digital evidence. If you enjoy problem‑solving and figuring things out, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a real‑world environment.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting and maintaining digital evidence systems
  • Troubleshooting issues and responding to user queries
  • Assisting with system updates and improvements
  • Managing and organising digital evidence in line with compliance requirements
  • Carrying out daily checks (audit logs, system connections, data accuracy)
  • Working with colleagues, partners, and members of the public to support evidence submission and handling
  • Responding to a varied workload where priorities can change throughout the day

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys getting stuck in and isn’t afraid to take ownership of tasks and find solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of working with IT systems or digital platforms
  • Good problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of people
  • Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail, particularly when working with data or systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working in a technical, systems‑based, or administrative environment
  • Knowledge or experience of managing digital information or records
  • Understanding of compliance, audit, or data handling processes
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. ICT, Business Studies) or equivalent experience
