As a PCSO, you'll be the eyes and ears of the community, providing a reassuring visible presence and tackling the issues that matter most. Every day is different, from supporting victims of crime and addressing anti-social behaviour to visiting schools and engaging with local residents. You'll play a vital role in community engagement, building trust and making a positive impact.

Shift Pattern:

  • 6 days on, 3 days off
  • Day shifts: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Late shifts: 1:00pm - 10:00pm

Eligibility:

  • Aged 17 (must be 18 by appointment).
  • Level 2 qualifications in Maths & English.
  • Ideally a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Full UK/EU manual driving licence (held for at least 6 months upon appointment).
  • Ability to pass vetting, fitness, and medical checks.

Please note - Successful candidates must serve wherever required to do so within North Yorkshire; please consider travel distance prior to submitting your application.
