We’re looking to appoint aFinance Support Officerto our collaborative Finance Team, supporting North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service. Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Act as a first point of contact for finance queries, delivering efficient and courteous support.
- Assist in the processing of Accounts Payable and Receivable transactions, ensuring compliance with legislation and financial regulations.
- Provide guidance on financial policies including the Devolved Resource Management Manual (DRM) and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain accurate and manipulable financial data inputs.
- Support in developing and operating financial controls to ensure robust governance.
- Manage correspondence and assist with general administrative duties across the team.
- Work proactively to streamline financial and administrative processes.

- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise non-financial colleagues.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in financial systems and work effectively within tight deadlines.
