The Opportunity

We’re looking to appoint a Finance Support Officer to our collaborative Finance Team, supporting North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service. Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Act as a first point of contact for finance queries, delivering efficient and courteous support.
  • Assist in the processing of Accounts Payable and Receivable transactions, ensuring compliance with legislation and financial regulations.
  • Provide guidance on financial policies including the Devolved Resource Management Manual (DRM) and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and manipulable financial data inputs.
  • Support in developing and operating financial controls to ensure robust governance.
  • Manage correspondence and assist with general administrative duties across the team.
  • Work proactively to streamline financial and administrative processes.
