The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is one of the world's greatest heritage railways, operating 24 miles of track through the stunning North York Moors National Park. As a registered charity, our mission is to inspire all generations by preserving our rich industrial, cultural and natural heritage. Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day delivery of our Pullman dining service.
- Lead and support a team of stewards and volunteers to provide exceptional, silver-service standards.
- Coordinate an efficient meal service between the kitchen and dining carriages to fit our journey times.
- Help manage stock, cash handling and onboard standards.
- Support the delivery of charters.
- Depute for the Pullman Team Leader when required.
- Own transport is essential due to the location at Grosmont (YO22 5QE).
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing supervisory role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and people management skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Confident in cash handling.
- Experience working at a supervisor level in a hospitality or catering environment.
- Experience working in a fine dining restaurant environment.
- Interest in working in a small, friendly Pullman Dining Team and delivering a memorable fine-dining silver service experience aboard our heritage trains.
