This is an exciting opportunity for a finance assistant with relevant experience to join our dynamic finance team. This key role will play an important part in supporting the finance team by administering the accurate and timely processing of entries to the Purchase and Sales Ledger.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices, credit notes and staff/volunteer expense claims accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure prompt payment of invoices and expenses.
- Maintain the business's purchase ledger.
- Deal with and resolve supplier queries.
- Work alongside our volunteer resource in respect of the above.
- Raise sales invoices on behalf of various departments through the accounting system.
- Maintain the business's sales ledger.
- Own the central finance@ inbox ensuring that all emails received are dealt with or escalated as required.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a similar role or roles for a large or medium sized organisation.
- Computer literate with experience of an accounting package such as Sage.
- Strong communications and inter-personal skills with a confident telephone manner.
- A finance qualification such as AAT (desirable).
