Multi skilled Railway Operator
Based in Grosmont
Salary £12.60 per hour
Permanent – Full or Part time positions available.

The Role Will Include

  • Contribute to the daily management of the operations roster, staff and volunteers
  • Support colleagues with service delivery and implementing timetable.
  • Contribute to training and management of competence of operations staff.
  • Carrying out other operational roles where competent to do so including, Mobile Operating Manager, Ground Frame Operator, Controller, Guard/Shunter, Signalman, Pilotman, PICOP
  • Working with the wider team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the railway
Hours Of Work
Working longer hours per week during the main operating season (March – October) including working bank holidays and weekends on a rota basis and less hours per week from November to February.
Essential Criteria
  • Experience in a number of safety critical railway operation roles
  • Good non-technical skills
  • Good standard of general education
  • UK Driving licence and own transport
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in multiple operating roles on a heritage railway
  • IOSH Managing Safely
