The Opportunity
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our on-call firefighter team. As an on-call firefighter, you will play a crucial role in responding to emergencies and keeping your community safe – all while balancing your work and personal life. As an on-call firefighter, you’ll declare the times when you are available to respond to emergencies. During your available hours, you must be within approximately four minutes of the fire station, ensuring a rapid response when duty calls. You’ll also attend a weekly training evening, where you’ll develop your skills and team camaraderie.
What You’ll Do
- An on-call firefighter for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) must meet several key requirements to be eligible for the role.
