The Opportunity

The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Finance Business Partner.

The Finance Business Partner will play a leading role at the interface of finance and delivery teams, enabling and supporting shared financial objectives, information and insights between the teams and wider stakeholders promoting a collaborative and supportive approach to assessment, reporting and analysis.

What you will bring

• A relevant degree
• A recognised (CCAB or equivalent) accounting qualification
• Strong experience of Finance Business Partnering
• A collaborative and empathetic approach to supporting service users
• Familiarity with financial regulations and governance frameworks applicable to local government.
• Experience working in a combined authority or similar public sector organisation.
• Wider stakeholder management skills
• A track record of delivering continuous improvements in processes , systems and reporting
