About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Business Analyst at the entry level of the career graded role (Grade G) to help deliver positive change across all council services. Working under the direction of more senior Business Analysts, you will support the delivery of analysis work packages that help shape and improve services across the Council. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformational change in a large and diverse organisation. The role is hybrid working with a combination of home working together with a minimum of 2 office days per week, primarily at our Northallerton Office.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering analysis work to time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Analysing information and making clear, fact-based recommendations.
- Capturing insights from workshops and mapping out business processes.
- Helping shape solution options and identifying the benefits.
- Pulling together reports and governance documents.
- Estimating and planning your tasks, flagging any issues early.
- Working closely with other analysts, project managers and project teams to deliver projects.
- Building great relationships and communicating findings in a way everyone understands.
What We're Looking For
- Experience applying structured analysis in a large organisation.
- An ability to make sense of complex information to inform decisions.
- Knowledge of business analysis methods (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Experience in projects and change management.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to juggle priorities and manage your workload.
- Solid ICT skills, ideally with some experience in data or analysis tools.
- A team player with great interpersonal skills.
