Wetherby High School is a forward-thinking school in a semi-rural area of North Leeds. We are now looking to appoint a Student Support Worker who has the tenacity, skills and flexibility to work in a fast-moving environment and the passion to help our children to progress and develop.

The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE, grade C or above, strong IT skills, well developed organisational and communication skills and a basic understanding of child development and learning strategies. The post holder will be expected to challenge and support pupils in order to improve motivation, attendance, engagement and character for learning. We are looking for someone who is skilled in effectively supporting student engagement and has successful experience of working with the full range of students including the most vulnerable. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to positively influence students and the ability to liaise with colleagues, parents/carers and a range of partner organisations.

The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties including developing restorative and relational approaches to inclusion and to support progress and liaison with families and other services to secure attendance and engagement.
