North Yorkshire Council have a national reputation for excellence, and we are looking for SEND Assistant EHC Caseworkers.

About the role

The Directorate has established an Integrated SEND Service (0-25) to provide an improved experience for children and young people with SEND and their families, including pathways and key points for assessment and decision making. The role will be to maintain a caseload of identified young people and provide professional, effective and supportive service to parents of children who are undergoing assessments and implement statutory duties as well as having an understanding of the Children and Families Act (2014) and procedures relating to the statutory review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disability as specified in the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice (2015). You will update education, health and care plans following reviews as well as organise, attend and contribute to meetings as well as discuss specific issues associated with the needs and provisions of individual pupils.
