Job Summary: Autism Care Assistant (Part Time) for a 17‑year‑old with autism in Goole.

Salary: £13.79 per hour / £124.11 per week. Permanent part‑time.

Location: Goole, North Humberside, North Yorkshire Council, DN14.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a genuine connection and supportive relationship with the young person, encouraging confidence and independence.
  • Assist with community outings, exploring interests and trying new activities.
  • Provide companionship, share a laugh, encourage new experiences and maintain a calm, consistent presence.
  • Support social and leisure activities to keep the young person independent.
  • Provide optional transportation for community access where required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to drive and have a full UK driving licence.
  • Own personal car; mileage will be paid when accessing the community.
  • Patient, kind, open‑minded, reliable and able to build trust gradually.
