NY Highways is looking for experienced and motivated Road Marking Specialists to help us deliver high-quality, safe and professional road marking works across the county. As a Road Marking Specialist, you will:
- Apply permanent and temporary road markings using thermoplastic and paint materials
- Operate specialist road marking vehicles, plant and equipment
- Prepare and set out work areas in line with drawings, standards and site requirements
- Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management
- Undertake line-removal operations using approved methods
- Complete vehicle and plant checks, maintain accurate work records and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures
- Support delivery of the Winter Maintenance service and participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
Experience and Qualities
- Experience in road marking operations and using relevant plant and equipment
- Knowledge of highways safety, environmental and quality requirements
- A full driving and Category CE licence
- Ability to problem-solve, follow procedures and work safely with initiative
- Strong teamwork, communication and customer-focused approach
- Flexibility to work outdoors, in all weather, and respond to call-outs
- Willingness to undertake required training (e.g. Manual Handling, Banksman, Abrasive Wheels, First Aid)
£34,796 per year
