What You’ll Be Doing

As an OH Business Partner, you will:

  • Provide specialist clinical advice on fitness for work, rehabilitation, and workplace health risks
  • Manage a complex caseload, supporting employees in sensitive or challenging situations
  • Work in partnership with managers to address attendance, performance, and wellbeing concerns
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on workforce health strategy
  • Lead and contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
  • Support organisational priorities by contributing to the People Strategy and service plans
  • Represent Occupational Health in meetings, case conferences, and cross-service forums
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, legislation, and clinical governance requirements

You will also help shape and develop policies, influence practice, and identify emerging workforce health risks, supporting a proactive and preventative approach to workplace wellbeing.

About You

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Occupational Health professional who can combine clinical expertise with strategic influence.

Essential Requirements

  • NMC Registered General Nurse (Part 1)
  • Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health)
  • Significant post-registration experience in Occupational Health
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Occupational Health practice and services
    • Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience managing complex casework and influencing organisational decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including handling sensitive situations
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload

Desirable

  • Experience working within a SEQOHS-accredited service
  • Experience in policy development or service improvement
  • Mentoring or leadership experience
  • Postgraduate or professional development in Occupational Health
