Job Role: Energy Advisor – Healthy and Sustainable Homes Team
Job Location: Harrogate, Richmond, Selby
As an Energy Advisor within the Healthy and Sustainable Homes Team, you will play an important role in helping residents make their homes warmer, healthier, and more affordable to run. You will work with both private households and social housing tenants, offering practical advice and support to reduce energy costs and tackle fuel poverty. A key part of the role will involve visiting residents in their homes, assessing their individual circumstances, and providing tailored guidance on energy efficiency measures. By meeting people where they live, you will be able to offer realistic solutions that suit their property type and personal needs, ensuring that support is accessible to those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident support: Provide 1:1 advice to older, disabled, and vulnerable residents on how to energy and money.
Cross-tenure work: Support people living in both private and social housing, tailoring advice to different needs.
Community links: Work closely with organisations such as NY Living Well, Age UK, housing providers, and local community groups to connect residents with the right support.
Energy awareness: Promote affordable energy options, local schemes, and simple steps residents can take to improve efficiency.
Flexibility: Carry out other tasks relevant to the role as service needs change.
