We are seeking an interim childcare lawyer solicitor with a practising certificate to join our team for approximately six months. Ideally, you are based in North Yorkshire or surrounding areas, with a start date within the next four weeks. You will be someone who excels in the field of children's law and care proceedings, ready to provide expert guidance and representation.
Your key responsibilities include providing expert advice and representation in care proceedings and family law matters. You will manage legal queries from the Children and Young People Services Directorate, conduct research on complex legal issues, and collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with Law Society Professional Standards and Lexcel accreditation. The role will be hybrid, with Mondays based in County Hall, Northallerton, and the remaining four days worked from home overseeing matters primarily in the Harrogate area.
