Overview

1 to 2 Support Assistants are required to support a young man for 5 hours per week (School holidays only) to access community activities. The young man is a wheelchair user, profoundly deaf and has Down Syndrome. He requires personal care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support during sessions.
  • Support access to community activities and outings.
  • Work 5 hours per week during school holidays, with days to be mutually agreed at interview.
  • Support may involve assisting with mobility and travel within the local area; a driver with own vehicle is ideal, though the young man can travel using his wheelchair, which may require 2:1 support.
