A team of Personal Support Assistants are required for a gentleman who has a Progressive Neurological Disorder. Over 60 hours available per week including daytime, waking and sleeping night shifts. The gentleman is available Monday to Friday 9am – 7pm and also some weekend and night shifts, with flexible arrangements to suit both parties. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the gentleman during eating to prevent choking.
- Watch for high risk of falling due to movement issues and cognitive fluctuations.
- Prepare meals, have conversation, perform household chores and provide personal care.
- Provide companionship when the gentleman does not wish to chat.
Required Qualities:
- Patient, sensitive and understanding.
- Likes animals, especially dogs (the household has five dogs).
Working Hours:
60+ hours per week. Day shifts: Monday to Friday 9am – 7pm. Weekend and night shifts also available.
Compensation:
£13.79 per hour for daytime and waking nights. £87.20 per sleeping night.
