Overview

Personal assistants are required to support a 20-year-old young lady in the school holidays and occasional weekends. This will include activities at home and out and about on a 2:1 basis. There will also be outings with the family. The young lady enjoys being outdoors, animals, going for walks, swimming and cafés. She is autistic with learning disabilities and epilepsy. She requires personal care.

Responsibilities

The role involves supporting the young lady with daily activities, accompanying her on outings, and assisting with personal care. Activities may include time at home, outdoor activities, going to cafés, swimming, and visits with the family. A 2:1 support ratio and driving may be involved as needed.

Hours and Location

The hours are casual/ad-hoc with flexibility. We are building a bank of personal assistants so individuals can choose how many hours they wish to work. Day shifts are listed as Monday to Friday, with opportunities for weekends and school holidays as available.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience in support work is preferred (2 years).
  • English language proficiency preferred.
  • Driving licence preferred.
  • Must be comfortable with swimming and likes dogs.
  • Experience is not essential, but the role requires willingness to engage in personal care and adapt to the young lady\’s needs.

Compensation

Pay rate: £14.30 per hour.
