Overview

Personal Assistant required in the Bedale area. Initially 2 hours – Saturday and/or 2 hours Sunday. 2/3 hours twice a week during college holidays. ALL FLEXIBLE. Rate of pay – Β£15.65 per hour. I am a young adult (male) with Down syndrome aged 18. I am looking for a P.A. who can help me take part in activities during the times listed above.

I enjoy going to cafes, love music (all types) and musical instruments. I like going for short walks in the park and I like to be helped to use the playground equipment if it’s not too busy. I love to go swimming, trampolining, and I enjoy looking at books, especially when I am being read a story. I enjoy sharing art and craft activities (cutting and sticking shapes, crayoning, play dough and small jigsaws and puzzles). I like watching people, smiling, and hearing praise such as β€œWell done”.

Because I have sensory issues, I sometimes put non-edible items in my mouth, so you must watch me carefully. I am non-verbal. Sometimes I may need personal care. I smile a lot and enjoy the company of others.

Driving: a car driver is required with a full clean driving licence.

This post is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS clearance. To apply please quote D882. Nycil are not the employers; they act on behalf of the employer and pass any applications direct to them.
