The predicted salary is between 13 - 15 £ per hour.
A Personal Care Assistant is required to assist a lady with her care and domestic/social needs, both at home and in the community. There are 30 permanent hours per week with some extra night shifts (both sleeping & waking shifts) available, as well as extra hours to cover holidays and sickness.
The personal assistant must be reliable, able to work flexible hours, and respect her privacy, understanding the need for confidentiality in all areas of work.
The permanent hours to be covered are:
- Monday & Wednesday 4 pm till 8.30 pm
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday 9.30 am till 12 & 4 pm till 8.30 pm
Please note: These hours can be split between 1 or 2 PAs if required.
The work involves:
- Washing/Feeding/Dressing
- Light general domestic duties ensuring areas are clean and tidy
- Assisting with drinks and snacks
- Making the bed to specific requirements
- Changing of bed linen
- Occasional laundry duties
- Shopping etc.
The PA must have a friendly disposition with a good sense of humour. Previous experience is not necessary as training can be given. A Driver is also required to drive the lady's mobility vehicle.
The rate of pay is £13.25 to £14.70 per hour (depending on experience); sleeping nights are £87.20 per shift, and if on a waking night shift, it is paid the same as the day rate. A DBS is required.
