Female Support Assistant needed to provide 3 hours per week (term time) and occasional ad‑hoc support to an 18‑year‑old woman with Cerebral Palsy, assisting with hobbies such as archery, shopping, cooking, and outdoor activities.
Working Hours
Term‑time: 3 hours per week (Saturdays). Ad‑hoc overnight sitting may be required for parental respite. School holidays are flexible and to be mutually agreed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with weekly shopping and archery sessions.
- Provide 1:1 support during outdoor activities, including farm walks and visits to nearby towns.
- Help with meal preparation and cooking/baking.
- Support mobility and ensure safety when walking or using a wheelchair.
- Interact safely with the young lady’s assistance dog.
- Perform any additional ad‑hoc support as needed.
Requirements
- The PA must have experience supporting a person with a physical disability, be outgoing and enthusiastic, comfortable with cooking tasks, enjoy outdoor activities, and have good spoken English.
- Must own a car and be able to drive to the rural home.
Remuneration
£15.65 per hour.
