Marketing Officer (Tourism)

The North York Moors National Park Authority looks after and promotes one of the most beautiful parts of the British Isles. Filled with breathtaking scenery, magnificent wildlife, picture book villages and a dramatic coastline, the North York Moors boasts some of the most diverse landscapes in the UK.

We are now looking for a Marketing Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Benefits

- £32,597 - £35,412 per annum, depending on experience
- 25 days’ annual leave, rising annually to 30 days after five years’ service, plus public holidays

This is an exceptional opportunity for a marketing professional with experience in tourism and content creation to join our passionate and dedicated organisation.

The Role

As a Marketing Officer, you will deliver engaging marketing activity to promote our National Park and support our tourism-related partnerships and initiatives.

Working closely with the Marketing & Communications team, you will help deliver our Strategy and Business Plan, as well as tourism marketing activities.

From creating content for our website, social media and e-newsletters to helping manage campaigns promoting food, nature, dark skies and outdoor adventures, you’ll support visitor-focused marketing across the Park.

About You

To be considered as a Marketing Officer, you will need:

- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience
- Practical experience of inspirational content creation and writing for websites and digital platforms
- Experience using direct mail (e-newsletters) and social media for marketing and publicity
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people
- Knowledge of the North York Moors and the surrounding area
- A degree or equivalent qualification in tourism, recreation, marketing or a related subject

Interviews are to be held in person at our Head Office in Helmsley on Monday 6 October 2025 (this date is unfortunately not flexible).
