Helmsley, North Yorkshire
The North York Moors National Park Authority helps to look after one of the most phenomenal parts of the British Isles. Filled with beautiful moorlands and fantastic woodland, the North York Moors is a unique area with a diversity of landscapes and wildlife.
We are now looking for an Interpretation Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role
As an Interpretation Manager, you will develop and create innovative interpretative schemes across a range of media, supporting our work and mission to raise our profile and enhance our brand.
Specifically, you will develop communications that engage with our audiences, incorporating storytelling and a range of effective techniques.
You will curate stories and disseminate high-quality content, copywrite, proofread, and edit content, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand and Communications Strategy.
Additionally, you will:
– Lead on producing the annual Out and About magazine
– Identify and support opportunities for income generation
– Manage the production of core Authority publications
– Line manage the Graphic Designer and Information Support Officer
About You
To be considered as an Interpretation Manager, you will need:
– At least three years experience in a relevant role
– Experience in countryside and/or heritage interpretation with a creative and innovative approach
– Strong creative writing skills and an understanding of accessibility requirements
– A background in managing projects, including budgeting and multi-partner collaboration
– Experience in producing publications, editing, and proofing content
– Experience using e-newsletters and social media to reach varied audiences
– Excellent proofreading, editing, and SEO content writing skills
– A full, valid driving licence
