The North York Moors National Park Authority helps to care for one of the UK’s most distinctive protected landscapes.
We are now looking for a Future Generations Wellbeing Manager to join us on a part-time basis, working 30 hours per week across four days, for a fixed-term contract until December 2027 to cover a period of maternity leave.

The Role
As our Future Generations Wellbeing Manager, you will lead engagement with children, young people and families, helping them connect with, care for and have a voice in the future of the North York Moors National Park.
Leading and co-ordinating Future Generations activity across the Authority, you will manage staff, and work with volunteers and partners to develop inclusive opportunities that support engagement, nature connection, health and wellbeing.
You will oversee youth volunteering programmes and champion Youth Voice, as well as acting as the Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
About You
To be considered as our Future Generations Wellbeing Manager, you will need:
- - Experience of establishing, organising and delivering programmes of youth engagement
- - Experience of working in partnership with a range of agencies and organisations in the field of children, families and youth engagement
- - Experience of managing projects, budgets, staff and volunteers
- - Experience of monitoring and evaluating the broad outcomes of children, families and youth engagement
- - Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of partners
- - A full, valid driving licence with D1 entitlement or the willingness to undertake the training for D1 entitlement
This post involves substantial involvement with young people, therefore, it is National Park policy to carry out pre-employment DBS checks.
